The Super Smash Bros. series has always been a popular gaming franchise whose characters competed in the fantasies of their creators for years on end, but not until Brawl did many gaming companies take notice. One of the most anticipated games at its release, Brawl has been compared to Melee and beyond as one of the best games in the entire series. But is it really? Let's take a look at some of the pros and cons to see if this game deserves such an honor...**The PROS:** -Smooth Gameplay: The gameplay for this title is nearly perfect and feels like an extension of Melee. You can chain together combos with ease, and the stages are designed very well to complement the gameplay of the game. You can also control your recovery moves in midair to an impressive degree - for example, when recovering with Meta Knight, you can drift in any direction after using his Shuttle Loop attack. Also, there is no such thing as "cloning" in this game - all characters have movesets that are exclusively their own. And finally, there isn't a single unbalanced character in this game - every fighter is evenly balanced and fair to play against.-Smooth Graphics: The graphics for this title run smoothly and look beautiful. The special effects are just as great as the ones in Melee, but the overall feel is a little different.-Smooth Online: Online play is very smooth and very few people complain about lagging. In addition, you can use your friends list to console-search for opponents instead of putting in a search tag. It's not necessary, but it makes it much easier to find someone to play against online if you don't know their exact tag.-Smooth Interface: This game has a fantastic interface that makes all of its modes easily accessible and easy to navigate through.-Smooth Additions: Many new elements have been added into Brawl that make the game more interesting and fun overall. This game is loaded with new game modes, collectibles, items, and characters - they're all pretty great additions.-Smooth Voice Acting: The voice acting is a lot better than that of Melee's, and I also like the fact that you can turn the voices off completely if you want to do so.-Smooth Extras: Like all other games in its series, Brawl has a wealth of extras to unlock. It took me over a month to unlock everything in this game because I was playing it so much! The trophies are also very interesting - it's neat to see what the designers could come up with for each character. -Smooth DLC: This game features great DLC that add a wealth of new options to the game. These include new characters, stages, items, and modes.-Fun Extras: In addition to the above extras, there are many extras in this game that make it fun to play even after all the story has been completed for the first time. This is by far my favorite aspect of Super Smash Bros. Brawl - it's a lot of fun to research and unlock more parts of the game!**The CONS:** -Overpriced Characters: If you haven't noticed yet, most of the characters in this game are fairly expensive compared to their counterparts from Melee.
